These Alva Reusable are an affordable, comfortable and absorbent alternative to disposable period pads! Each pad has a waterproof backing and a snap closure for ease of use and reliability when you need it the most.

Why should I switch to reusable period protection?

Did you know that each of us will use up to 16,000 disposable pads, pantyliners and tampons in our lifetime? Reusable Period production is an extremely cost-effective swap with a one-off cost for products that will last for years, compared to the £45-£88 a year most women spend on disposable period products every single year. What are they made from?

Alva Reusable Period Pads are made from bamboo charcoal and microfibre, providing a more comfortable and breathable alternative to disposable sanitary towels, that is also hypoallergenic and naturally anti-bacterial. These small period pads feature a waterproof outer layer made from PUL, and have wings for added leak protection

We recommend washing these pads before use.
Wash at 40 degrees on lower with non-bio washing powder and do not use fabric softener. Line drying is recommended however these pads can be tumble dried on a low heat.

Won't stay put

I avoid using these pads and every month I try again and instantly remember why I hate them. They will not stay put. I don't know what it is about them that makes them so "slippery" when strapped to your pants but the slide backwards, forwards and round the crotch area of your panties with minimal effort! I am constantly having to find a toilet every 10 minutes to readjust. If I haven't been able to find a toilet to readjust then by the time I do get to a loo I have found the wings and poppers facing up and the pad liner side facing down. I have small size pads from another brand and this does not happen.

The pattern, absorbency and shape seems good. However, the material of the waterproof layer is much too slippy and moves about lots. As such, I found it very annoying to wear and I avoid using it.

How much is home delivery?

Standard Tracked (Royal Mail) - FREE for orders over £50 (£3.95 for orders under £50)
Royal Mail 24hr tracked - £4.95
Next Working Day delivery via DPD (UK mainland only) - £5.95 orders must be placed before 2pm

When will I get my order?

Mon to Thurs, order before 11am select our Royal Mail 24 tracked option at £4.95 and we'll dispatch it same day for next day delivery. Alternatively, order before 11am for DPD next working day delivery.

Orders on Thursday after 12pm and Friday won't be dispatched until Saturday or Monday. If you choose Royal Mail 24, we'll dispatch on Saturday and your order should arrive by Monday. DPD shipping is only available on orders placed Monday - Thursday (11am)

Orders on Saturday or Sunday choosing Royal Mail 24 or DPD will be dispatched on Monday for receipt Tuesday. Choosing Royal Mail 48 means your order may be dispatched Tuesday or Wednesday if we have had a very busy weekend!
