Leaf Wraps are an eco-friendly and vegan alternative to clingfilm or other food wrapping options. They are made in Cambridge, UK by a family run business and each wrap is hand quality checked and packaged. If you follow the correct care instructions below your wrap will last around a year, after this you can refresh them using wax crumbles!
This Teeny Pack contains 5 wraps which are 18cm squares, they are the perfect size to wrap up fruit and vegetables, cover milk bottle or make snack pouches.
Why Should I Switch?
More than 1.2billion metres of cling film is used by households across Britain every year- that's enough to wrap around the world 30 times! Clingfilm is also extremely difficult to recycle meaning it ends up in landfill; Leaf wraps last a whole year, are fully compostable and look much prettier!
What are they made from?
Leaf Vegan wraps are made from carefully chosen and thoughtfully sourced materials to provide the best quality product as socially and environmentally friendly as possible:
- GOTS Certified Cotton- this ensures fewer chemicals are used and all workers are fairly treated, all dyes used on the cotton are Oekotex Certified.
- Sumac Wax- sourced from the Asian Native Sumac tree to give the wraps structure.
- Rice Bran Wax- this wax, also sourced from Asia, is soft and creamy giving the wrap its pliable texture.
- Resin- this helps the wraps to be super grippy and is sourced from Portugal, only the tapping method is used to harvest it so no trees are cut down!
