Close Pop In

Close Pop-In + Minkee Nappy

The Minkee Pop-In Nappy is one of the best 'all in two' and quick drying nappies on the market!

These components make the Pop-In nappy extremely customisable in terms of absorbency, and provides an economical solution to cloth nappies. When wet, the minkee soaker pads can simply be snapped out of the shell and replaced with a fresh soaker pad set rather than washing the whole nappy each time.

The Minkee fibre is luxuriously soft, and stays soft even in hard water, and dries super fast. Making it a graet choice if you do not have, or would prefer not to rely on, a tumble drier.

As with a one-size pocket nappy, the Pop-In is designed to fit from birth to potty training and the New Generation Pop In has 4 rows of poppers down the front rise which allow you to adjust it as your baby grows. This provides you with a fantastically economical option!

One-Size: To fit from 8-35lbs approx.

We have been testing these New Generation Pop-In nappies for a while now, and they really have seen some fantastic improvements from the last version! The exterior washes and wears much better, the fit is more generous and the new stylish colour combinations are a real winner!

Each New Generation Pop-In + minkee nappy comes complete with the waterproof outer shell, a minkee soaker and a top minkee booster.

Please note that sometimes the colour of the inserts may become affected by the contents together with some detergents, however this does not affect the functionality of the product and Close does not cover this by the warranty.

What else willI need?

Liners: You may choose to use disposable liners inside your nappies to help with the removal of solids, however these are optional and are not essential.

Nappy Bucket or Hanging Pail: Any lidded bucket or hanging pail can be used to store your wet nappies. There is no need for soaking, they can be thrown into the empty bucket or bag ready for wash day. If using a bucket, mesh bags or pail liners can be used to make transferral of your nappies from the bucket to the machine really easy.

Wet Nappy Bag: This is a waterproof bag to be kept in your changing bag that can be used to store your wet nappies when you are out and about. We recommend the Smart Tote

Boosters: These are optional and may be used if your child is a heavy wetter, or for night-time boosting. Our fabulous range of nappy boosters can be seen here

Easy to use

I like this nappy. It is easy to use, dry quick, comes in nice colours but I had occasional leaks when used more than 3 hours.

Would recommend!

quick to dry easy to use

these nappies are easy and quick to use, and dry in a couple of hours. they arent great for heavy wetters as the inserts are quite slim, but they are a very good fit and dont leak

Good all round nappy

I loved these on my daughter until she hit two. Then we realised they were just too small for her and they were leaving marks on the tops of her legs. So we had to swap to something else. The minkee material was fine for my daughter even at two but now we are using with my son I am finding am needing to swap to use a bamboo booster with the soaker as he's a bit more of a heavy wetter. I much prefer other nappies with him. They are great for getting them dry quick though if you do not have much room for drying. Quite often could hang up to dry before going to bed and they would be dry by morning.

this was by far my favourite nappy we tried however my baby now weighs 26lbs at 18mnths and found it was quite small on him. i did keep him dry all night

nice little nappy
Tuesday, 11 September 2012  |

I bought this nappy as a bit of an experiment as I normally use pockets, and I loved it! It wasn't as bulky as I thought it was going to be, was a lovely fit on my sons little legs and was very absorbant. I'm also confident that with the night booster it would last us all night. I like that you can pop the soaker out and just put in another one too, it makes getting out and about easier. I might look into buying more, and the bamboo and prints too!

Great fit and quick drying
Monday, 27 August 2012  |

I got 5 of these and 5 of the bamboo ones so we could mix and match and it's worked really well for us.
The Minkee dries really quick so if I know it's going to be miserable weather or something I can use these and know that the whole nappy will be dry in about 2 hours just hung up in the house. They dry really quickly on the line, I think in part because of the way you only need to undo the front two poppers and the whole thing opens out - you dont need to take it apart - this means it catches the wind really easily.
We haven't had any problems with absorbancy and find they will go for 3 - 4 hours easily enough on my little boy (I double up the booster at the front of the nappy - this also reduces the bulk behind), but I can tell they are fuller than the bamboo ones when I change him! Altogether a great nappy - just sadly too small for my 22 month old though sadly, although fit great on my 9 month old. Although the fabric leaves 'sock marks' on my baby he seems really comfortable in them (love the stretchy side panels) and his botty has been as healthy as it was in disosables!

Good nappy but maybe for bigger babies...
Friday, 24 August 2012  |

We tried this nappy as part of the try cloth for £10 scheme and found it was one of the best one-size nappies. I liked the pop-in boosters which were easy to use, stayed in place well when the nappy was on and it was all easy and pretty quick to dry. The Velcro fastening was easy to use to get the right size. The design around the legs was good, lots of the other nappies leaked around our daughter’s legs but this one didn't. It is however rather bulky on our small baby (started using at 4 weeks), I think I will come back to it when she’s bigger.

Love this!

I usually use two parters and fancied a change... I went for the FYP Olympic offer to try a variety of nappies.

This was the one I didn't fancy! I was wrong. Very absorbent, good fit around the leg and quick drying.

It comes in good colours too!

Would recommend!

Very bulky
Thursday, 5 July 2012  |

Tried this as part of the try cloth for £10. It looked more complicated than the others which put my partner off but actually it was quite simple. Just a few poppers. Don't think we had any leaks but it was just too bulky for us. Twice I had to change his outfit because I couldn't get his trousers over it! A good nappy for not for us
