Little Lamb

Little Lamb Microfibre Nappies

These Microfibre fitted nappies from Little Lamb are perfect for parents who don't have much space or time for drying their nappies, needing only a quick line dry or a five minute blast in the tumble drier to finish them off!

Why is microfibre a quick dry fabric? If you looked at the material under a microscope you'd see that there are squillions of strands that make up the yarn. The fluid is held between each strand rather than being absorbed into the strand itself. This means that during the spin cycle almost all of it is spun out. Much like your fleece jumper.

Fasten the velcro back onto the laundry tabs before washing to keep the velcro fresh. The cross over velcro also allows for a great fit on small and skinny babies.

Easy to use, easy to wash, easy to dry and easy to buy.

Caring for this nappy is simple. Always use the dry bucket system (this means no soaking, no bleaching- just pop any poo down the loo then fold over the Velcro onto the laundry tabs and pop it into the bucket with the lid on to prevent any pong) then when you have a days worth of nappies (or two if you have enough), chuck it all into the washing machine with half a scoop of powder.  When your machine has done all the hard work for you, dry the nappies either on the line or in the dryer.

Team with:

Each nappy comes complete with one of Little Lambs luxuriousl soft Fleecy Liners! Bonus!

Sizing

Size 1

7-20lbs

Size 2

20-38lbs

What else will I need?

Waterproof Cover: These nappies require a separate waterproof cover. We can recommend the Blueberry Coverall, Smart-Fit and Bummis Superbrites. Unlike the nappy however, these will only need changing when damp or soiled so you should only need a few covers in total.

Liners: You may choose to use disposable liners inside your nappies to help with the removal of solids, however these are optional and are not essential.

Nappy Bucket or Hanging Pail: Any lidded bucket or hanging pail can be used to store your wet nappies. There is no need for soaking, they can be thrown into the empty bucket or bag ready for wash day. If using a bucket, mesh bags or pail liners can be used to make transferral of your nappies from the bucket to the machine really easy.

Wet Nappy Bag:This is a waterproof bag to be kept in your changing bag that can be used to store your wet nappies when you are out and about. We recommend the Smart Tote

Boosters: These are optional and may be used if your child is a heavy wetter, or for night-time boosting. Our fabulous range of nappy boosters can be seen here

Sooo soft

Super soft and fluffy. Easy to use and excellent value for money. Not as absorbent as it's bamboo version but a lot quicker to dry. A good daytime fitted nappy when teamed with a wrap.

Dry quickly but not as absorbent as I hoped they would be

Overall they do the job and fit nicely. Absorbent for my 10 months son but not as absorbent as I hoped they would be. I need another bamboo insert to go with them. Glad they dont leave any nappy rash!

Good but bulky
Friday, 29 August 2014  |

I like these nappies. They dry really quickly and are my favourite night-time nappies as they never leak (i do replace the microfibre booster with a bamboo just to make sure). I would use them all the time but they make my little girl's bum really big and some clothes don't fit over. I also don't want to buy too many right now because even though size 1 is meant to fit up to 20lb they do not long enough. My little girl is only 3 months old and weighs only 12lb and I am not sure if they will fit for very long.

so soft

I live in a hard water area and so my cotton nappies go very hard and scratchy. I've not got much use out of these yet but I can tell they will remain a lot softer than the cotton ones.

Great for drying quickly

I like these nappies for their lovely compact fit, gives my wee boy a bot more room to move than some of our other nappies. Also great as a quickly dry nappy for those days when were less organised with laundry! Haven't tried this nappy at night so can't vouch for how absorbency then.

Lovely and fluffy, although they seem a bit bulky.

Dries Super Fast!
Tuesday, 15 January 2013  |

This is my night time nappy for when we travel. Paired with a mio boost and little lambs wrap it's bomb proof and lasts all night. And the big plus it washes and dries within a few hours making it the perfect holiday choice. Where as I always find a washing machine I do not always find a tumble dryer. This is a great choice for those who just do not have the time and space to dry the little lambs bamboo nappy. The price also can't be beat!

A decent fitted nappy
Thursday, 27 December 2012  |

I used size 1 on my newborn. Given the material it's not as absorbent as bamboo but I didn't mind as I was changing DD a lot anyway.

Used with blueberry coverall mini that fitted nicely.

A quick drying nappy, good fit.

Can be boosted with LL bamboo boosters.

I cannot comment on bigger sizes and if they woudl still work.

I was happy with size 1 when it fitted. DD outgrew them around two months.

Felt great

This nappy really did feel amazing, I'm sure my little man loved the super softness next to his bum, unlike other reviews I found it to be quite absorbent, not as much as bamboo nappies but it had the advantage of being pretty much dry out of the washing machine.
I think my dislike of the smartipants wrap that came with this nappy tainted my view a little, the nappy was bulky but teamed with that bulky wrap pretty much all my baby's clothes were too small!
